The Menagerie of the Jardin des Plantes is the world’s oldest active zoo, located in the heart of Paris.

Founded in 1794, its mission is to raise public awareness about biodiversity and species conservation.

The objective of this project was to provide a new mediation tool for young audiences: a Progressive Web App game used throughout the Menagerie space.

This game is designed to raise awareness among young audiences about the conservation of endangered species.

This PWA leverages the WIFI network deployed in the Jardin des Plantes and accessible to the public.

The PWA does not require downloading from app stores. It can be played directly in a web browser or installed on the smartphone’s home screen.

A chat system enables a virtual relationship with a guide: the embodiment of the park’s founder.

Both map and list modes are available for navigation.

Challenges mark the journey. The score increases with correct answers to reach a reward level that young visitors can achieve at the end of the visit.
