The DASA Museum of Work in Dortmund, Germany, has 13,000 square metres of exhibition space and presents the working worlds of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
It is the permanent educational institution of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. It informs the public about the working world, its importance for the individual and society as a whole, and the importance of a work organisation adapted to people.
In April 2024, the “Respect” exhibition opened at the DASA. It examines the issue of mutual respect in a diverse society. It is aimed primarily at young people aged 14 to 18, as aspects of diversity and discrimination also play an important role at school, in training, in career orientation and in people’s entry into active life.
Wezit has produced four interactive devices, including two iPad applications and two interactive stations developed in Unity.
The first station offers a range of films and games that can be played in groups, with the terminal controlling the image, sound and lighting in the play area.
Another station uses a depth camera with ToF technology to recognise visitors’ figures and place them in different professional environments. Players discover 20 different professions and signal with movements if they like them.
