Wezit Education

HOW DOES IT WORK ?

In the classroom

Prepare the visit in class using the materials provided by the museum’s team (access to the interactive space).

During the visit

Use a dedicated device to answer prepared questions and complete a mission in groups.

Back to school

Continue the activity at school and present group work to the class

With the family

Return to the museum with family, the pupil introduces their work and takes on the role of guide for their family during the visit.

A NEW SOLUTION FOR A CONTINUUM BETWEEN THE VISITING SITE AND THE CLASSROOM, ON SITE OR REMOTELY.

Dedicated to school audiences, WEZIT EDUCATION accompanies classes before, during and after their visit to the museum. Composed of a resource portal, a visit device and a digital platform, this innovative solution offers a continuum of experience between the museum and the school activity. WEZIT EDUCATION LIVE opens up the same experience to classes unable to come to the museum.

WEZIT is involved in a number of international research projects, and our partners in research, the private sector and pilot museums have been involved in WEZIT EDUCATION experiments to define its technical and pedagogical requirements.

AN OPEN, INTERACTIVE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE with WEZIT EDUCATION, the museum offers its school audiences a genuine continuum between the classroom and the visit itself, with before, during and after activities.

GROWING MUSEUM VISITATION

Students, inspired by the class visit, then encourage their families to come and visit the museum, thus helping to boost attendance.

PUPILS TAKING PART IN THEIR VISIT

For students, passive tours are transformed into active, creative learning experiences, thanks to a range of missions (journalist, exhibition curator…) adapted to each grade level. The museum can adapt an existing mission to match its collections, or develop a customized mission.

FACILITATE ORGANIZATION

WEZIT EDUCATION facilitates the management of school visits, by providing teachers with content and a dashboard for the tour guide. It also promotes student autonomy during the visit.

WEZIT EDUCATION LIVE

A museum accessible to all, no matter where they are. All WEZIT EDUCATION experiences are available from the classroom. WEZIT EDUCATION LIVE enable schoolgroups who cannot attend the museum in person to discover its collection thanks to dedicated remote visits.

2 MISSIONS FOR STUDENTS

Ready-to-use missions.

Adapt existing missions to your visit or develop a specific program. Each mission can be adapted to meet the pedagogical requirements of students aged 9 to 15.

EXHIBITION CURATOR” MISSION

The exhibition curator’s mission involves students in creating a thematic temporary exhibition based on the objects from the collection.

Whether free or guided, alone or in groups, this exhibition design work is always accompanied by an explanation that must be prepared in class, based on the collected content.Pupils are asked to showcase the objects using the following formats : an exhibition catalog or a virtual 3D exhibition.

Learning outcomes: mastering the expression of one’s sensibility and opinions, respecting those of others, analyzing and interpreting works of art, searching for information in different media and documentary resources…

JOURNALIST” MISSION

During their visit, students are invited to gather information that will later help them produce an article, podcast or video report. This mission aims to develop the students’ ability to communicate a message in a specific format, in order to help others to understand in simple terms. They discover the requirements of journalistic writing, which is founded on verification of sources and facts, the accessibility of discourse and real creativity in the rendering.

Learning outcomes: researching and sorting information, cooperating and carrying out projects, exercising critical thinking skills, demonstrating thoughtfulness and discernment, assessing the reliability of collected information.
