LWL – FREILICHTMUSEUM

Project name Interactive kiosk
Client LWL - Freilichtmuseum Hagen - Germany
Project benefits Motion design animation

The LWL-Freilichtmuseum Hagen is an open-air museum located in Germany, dedicated to showcasing traditional craftsmanship and old-world techniques.

It features a variety of reconstructed workshops where visitors can witness demonstrations of bygone trades.
It offers a journey into the past, highlighting the progression of industry and technology over the centuries.

To mark the relocation of the Dutch windmill to the top of the museum, the museum has designed an exhibition inside the windmill and asked Wezit to create an interactive station.

Among other things, Wezit produced a tactile digital frieze retracing the mill’s eventful history, as well as an animated film explaining the technology used in the mill to a family audience.

The interactive station meets stringent accessibility requirements, with content available in simplified German, audio description and German sign language. All the station’s content is managed in Wezit.
