The Grand Palais called upon Wezit mobile to create a personalised tour experience, for all the exhibitions there.

If you enjoy the exhibitions at the RMN Grand Palais as much as we do, you’ve probably already downloaded the application for each of their temporary exhibitions.
However, this is now changing, because the Grand Palais is always on the lookout for innovative ways of connecting with its visitors. This autumn, they launched their brand-new “all-in-one” application! The whole of the Grand Palais in one application, so that visitors can get the most out of current and future exhibitions! The Réunion des Musées Nationaux has set up mobile applications for the Grand Palais, but also for the 22 museums in its organisation.
Elegant and practical, this application offers visitors :
Calendar : With the calendar, visitors can see all the current and future events taking place at the museum. Users can get notifications for all important information about preparing for their visit, as well as the highlights and cultural programme including conferences, concerts, films, etc.
Ticket-office feature : users can directly obtain their tickets for the exhibition, and purchase their “Sésame” pass, and/or “Expo-Pass” for exhibitions held at the Grand Palais and the Musée du Luxembourg.
Positioning : A mode “You are inside the Grand Palais” or “You are outside the Grand Palais”, where users can position themselves in and around the exhibition areas. The application also offers guided tours to visitors, whether they require a payment or not, for each room that displays objects from the exhibition, with built-in innovative technology such as image recognition.
Everyone can benefit from the audioguides with this new application, with an interface that is designed to be suitable for people who are hard of hearing or the visually impaired. A museum has never offered such comprehensive tools for visitor tours. Once again, the self-guided tours are available for children as well as adults, and also come in several languages.
And to ensure tour continuity, users can create “albums”
from their visit by creating photo souvenir collages –
the list of favourite artworks can be shared on social networks
or by email after the visit, and future visits can be prepared.
