The Alsace-Moselle Memorial in Schirmeck opened in 2006, narrating the intricate history of Alsace and Moselle, two regions that alternated between German and French influences from 1870 to 1945.

As part of a site modernization initiative, new exhibition rooms were constructed to depict the European development from 1948 to the present day.

We developed a spectacular video mapping show representing key milestones in Europe’s evolution, along with a multimedia guide featuring geolocation functionality and various other interactive and audiovisual applications.

This new exhibition, which opened in 2017, has since attracted a younger audience interested in more optimistic and forward-looking topics.

The interactive devices were designed to infuse a positive perspective into the European narrative.

Didactic animations feature simplified structures and graphic designs.

Within the immersive room, reflecting the dynamics of European projects, distinct phases punctuate each subject.

Utilizing a tablet as a mobile guide or interactive screens in seat armrests, visitors can voice their opinions on major European themes.

All participants are encouraged to take part, and if a person is alone, their opinion is contextualized alongside past opinions expressed by previous visitors.

The weighted results of all present visitors’ opinions are displayed in the projected video mapping.

Additional animations have been created to complement the historical tour of the first half of the 20th century.

To illustrate the maps, graphic effects using moving particles provide the desired geographical information.

A tablet accompanies the tour, offering visitors access to supplementary information for in-depth analysis.

Multilingual information is contextually provided.
