The Heritage Intelligence Consortium at Château de Chambord is a modern initiative that seeks to blend technology with cultural heritage.

Located at Château de Chambord in France, it explores how new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, can enrich visitors’ understanding and experiences by engaging with the castle’s history and architecture, thus creating an innovative cultural encounter.

As part of the ‘Intelligence des Patrimoines’ program (Cultural Heritage Intelligence) led by the University of Tours, we were tasked with developing an application called ‘La Boussole’ (The Compass), which enables visitors to have a fully personalized tour of Chambord Castle.

Algorithms dynamically adjust the tour based on criteria set at the beginning of the visit.

The “La Boussole” (Compass) application of Chambord Castle offers visitors a custom-tailored tour experience.

The application can be directly downloaded to your smartphone, and its content can optionally be fully loaded onto the device to avoid reliance on networks.

A multi-criteria selection generates a personalized route that adapts to the user’s preferences.

This project, conducted in collaboration with scientists, is entirely based on the Wezit platform and its contextualization tools.
