After six years of renovation work, the Musée d’Arts de Nantes reopened its doors on June 23rd, 2017. The museum entrusted the realization of its digital devices to Mazedia who used the Wezit platform for the creation of these devices.
The mobile application:
Published on the stores, this mobile IOS and Android application is also distributed on 100 Android devices available for lease in the museum. The application allows the geolocation of the works and an indoor geolocation. It also communicates with GColl (management tool of the collections of Videomuseum) and has a multicriteria search engine on all the art pieces present in the museum, thus allowing a customization of the users’ visit. The application is available in three languages: French, English and Spanish.
“Œuvre à la loupe” / A Closer Look at…:
This kind of interactive multimedia module allows visitors to see the details of an artwork through a magnifying glass, while commentaries and animations give visitors its historical and artistic background. The device integrates games allowing the visitors to explore the works in greater depth. It is completely administrable by the museum which can change the contents at its convenience to put forward other works present in the museum.
Terminals of information and orientation:
Based on the plans of the museum and on the search engine allowing to locate the works in the museum, they facilitate the exploration of the museum. Available in three languages (English, French, Spanish) they also communicate with the Nantes Métropole diary for an experience beyond the walls of the museum.
To facilitate the work of the Museum of Fine Arts of Nantes regarding the management of its contents, Wezit finalized a back-office centralizing the configuration and the contents of the various devices. This back-office is synchronized with the management tool of the collections of the museum (Gcoll, Vidéomuseum).
